Chemo Cute began in a hospital parking lot.
Before my cousin Esther’s very first chemotherapy treatment, we sat in the car together while she gathered herself before going inside. Like many women do, she checked the mirror, searched through her purse for lip gloss, and tried to pull herself together for the day ahead.
Esther and I have always had a playful relationship, so in that moment I looked at her and jokingly said, “You gotta look cute, Esther… you gotta look chemo cute!”
As soon as the words came out, we both paused, and then laughed and gave a Yasss! moment lol.
What started as a lighthearted moment between cousins suddenly felt bigger than just a phrase. It became a reminder that even during one of the hardest moments in someone’s life, people still want to feel like themselves. They still want confidence. Comfort. Beauty. Strength. Support.
That moment became the beginning of Chemo Cute.
Chemo Cute was created for people currently in treatment, survivors, caregivers, loved ones, and support systems, because cancer impacts more than just one person. Our goal is to create products and a community that bring encouragement, confidence, and comfort through every step of the journey.
Although Esther is no longer physically with us, her love, strength, humor, and spirit continue to inspire the Heart behind Chemo Cute every single day.
Chemo Cute is not about making cancer “cute.”
It’s about reminding people that strength and softness can exist together and that even during difficult seasons, people still deserve to feel seen, supported, confident, and beautiful.
Love,
Faith
